About the artist: Umbreen Hasan

My creative journey has never been defined b y a single discipline.I am an internationally recognized visual artist, certified interior designer, physician and jewelry designer. Throughout my life, each path has shaped the way I see beauty, craftsmanship and the spaces we inhabit.

​

Growing up in Pakistan and then living in New Zealand, I have travelled extensively from a young age which allowed me to experience diverse cultures, architecture, and artistic traditions from around the world. Among them, Japan left one of the deepest impressions. I was captivated by its philosophy of finding beauty in simplicity, balance and nature -principles that continue to influence my work today.

I was deeply inspired by the art of ikebana where every branch, flower and space has purpose. Built on the harmony of Heaven, Earth and Humanity, it is more than floral design- it is sculptural art.

​

Elan Botanique grew from my desire to combine these timeless ikebana principles with my artistic style, using color, texture and composition shaped by years as a visual artist.

​

Every sculpture is personally designed and handcrafted by me.No two pieces are ever alike. Many are created in vintage vessels that I carefully source and import from Japan, each carrying its own history and story, while others are placed in elegant contemporary vessels.

​

My hope is that every Elan Botanique sculpture brings a sense of calm, beauty and timeless elegance into your home or space. I invite you to explore my world, where nature and art come together, to create something truly one of a kind.
